Traffic jam on my information high way

This year I will be doing a short course on internet marketing through UCT, massive excitement!

So to prepare myself I went on Twitter – the last of the social media platforms I’ve never been brave enough to conquer.

Twitter sent a message to all my email contacts asking them to join and follow me and what an overwhelming response I got – the general consensus was – ‘I’m not ready for Twitter – still too old school for  that.” These messages came from very interesting sources like journalist and art director friends of mine that I’ve always thought was on the front line of technology.

My other die-hard online friends periodicaly takes a detox week or month away form social media to focus on family and friends (the real life ones).

With our business being online I need to check, post, follow, like, pin on a daily basis to interact with clients on different platforms and it’s all becoming a bit overwhelming. Addictive … but overwhelming.

It feels like it’s all repetitive – the same information just dressed up differently for each media.
Hopefully this course will let me see the light and make sense of it all. On that note,  I’d like to share some very funny jokes on the subject.

Life is better at the beach - Vintage nautical

I am so excited to have been asked to be do a renovation for a beach restaurant in a sleepy little West Coast town.

So much so that I am now completely obsessed with the chosen theme: Vintage nautical

From dated black and white photographs from the 50's where ladies where dressed in beautifully cut full body constumes to striped walls and thick boat roaps.
